This site is run by Andreas, trading as The X Traveler, based in Nicosia, Cyprus. This notice explains what happens to the information you send through the enquiry form.
Nothing. The contact form on this site does not submit anywhere. What you type into it is used only to build a WhatsApp message on your own device, which you then choose to send or not. No data is transmitted to this website, and there is no database behind it.
It is not. If you do choose to send the WhatsApp message, your name, number and whatever you wrote reach me through WhatsApp in the ordinary way, and I keep that conversation so I can reply and so a record exists if a booking follows. That is WhatsApp’s messaging service, governed by their own terms and privacy policy, not something running on this site.
Any correspondence lives in my WhatsApp or in my email inbox, on devices and accounts I control. Nothing is stored on this website because this website stores nothing.
Messages that lead to a trip are kept while there is a reason to keep them. Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted within twenty-four months. You can ask me to delete a conversation sooner and I will.
Your details are never sold, rented, or shared for marketing. If you decide to book a curated expedition, I pass what the licensed local operator needs — name, dates, and anything they require for permits — and only after you have decided to go ahead. This site uses a privacy-friendly analytics tool that counts visits without cookies and without identifying anyone.
Under the GDPR you may ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for corrections, or ask for it to be erased. Write to the address below and it will be dealt with within one month, free of charge.
You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.
